Resolution:
Currently, Policy Manager cannot be set up in Fault Tolerant/High Availability mode. However, you could set up multiple Proxy Agents on multiple hosts and once the services have been registered and policies applied, policy enforcement would not be affected if the Policy Manager goes down. This is because run-time policy enforcement is handled by Proxy Agents and Policy Manager need not be up and running for this. To achieve high availability with regard to enforcing policies on various load-balanced services, refer to:
- Policy Agent documentation, Chapter --> High Availability and Load Balancing
- Article 32752 (SOL1-B6QG6X) if you have Web Services with JMS endpoints.
