The _jvm folder is created in the case ( prior to the 2.9 installer ) when the installer uses the built in JVM. If during the install the installer finds a JVM it uses already pre-installed JVM on the system, it will use that and never create a _jvm folder. However, if the installer doesn't find a JVM existing on the system, it will create a _JVM folder for use by the uninstaller when it comes time to uninstall a product.

In the TRA 5.7.3/RV 8.3.2 (or any newer product) then _JVM is not created after installation completion.

With 2.9 and later, as included in TRA 5.7.3 and RV 8.3.2 and most any product (that uses the Universal Installer 2.9) a _JVM folder is
never created.A change in uninstalling a product in 2.9 and later doesn't require a JVM to be in place and would not leave a _JVM directory behind.

No _JVM folder created in the TRA 5.7.3/RV 8.3.2 during installation.
