TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.8.x

TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP 6.2.0 now supports TRA 5.8.x, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation. The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP 6.2.0.  Because TRA 5.8.x supports JRE 1.7, TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP 6.2.0 now supports JRE 1.7.

Limitations and Restrictions:
For HP-UX Itanium, the 64-bit TRA executable should be used.
For the remaining Unix platforms and all Windows platforms, TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP 6.2.0 is a 32-bit executable that can be run on 32-bit and 64-bit Platforms. On 32-bit Unix and Windows platforms, the 32-bit TRA executable should be used. On 64-bit Unix Platforms, either the 32-bit or 64-bit TRA executable can be used. On 64-bit Windows platforms, it is recommended that the 32-bit TRA executable be used unless the 32-bit adapter needs to run on the same Windows machine with the 64-bit TRA executable and other 64-bit TIBCO applications.

In order to use product version with the 64-bit TRA executable, please follow the configuration steps below:
•SOL1-BT3Y0H - Configuring C++ TIBCO (R) Adapters to work with TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) 5.7.1, 5.7.2, and 5.8.0 (64-bit) for Windows.

Please note that TRA 5.8.x supports JRE 1.7. Our ability to support TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP 6.2.0 with TRA 5.8.X may be limited if the SAP software does not currently support JRE 1.7. Issues due to JRE 1.7 may need to be investigated with a TRA version that supports a JRE version supported by the vendor.

Configuration Changes:
Because DataDirect drivers are no longer shipped in TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.8.x, TIBCO Adapters should use vendor-supplied database drivers for design-time configuration and runtime implementation. Please refer to SOL1-BHBRDL for detailed configuration steps.

TIBCO ActiveMatrixBusinessWorks includes the following:

* TIBCO Active Matrix Business Works - Business Works engine that does not run as a Service Engine; for use by customers that are not using Active Matrix
* TIBCO Active Matrix Business Works Service Engine (BWSE) - Business Works Engine running as a Service Engine for use within Active Matrix

No adapter configuration changes are required to use TIBCO Active Matrix BusinessWorks.

For details on using TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP 6.2.0 with BWSE 5.6.x, 5.7.x, 5.8.x, 5.9.2 or higher 5.9.x, 5.10.x, please refer to LBN1-8Y6BMF - How can standalone adapters interoperate with ActiveMatrix Business Works Service Engine (BWSE) 5.6.x, 5.7.x, 5.8.x, 5.9.x and 5.10.x?
