Description
Resolution:
Using LDAP with SSL and TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler for TIBCO BusinessEvents 1.0.0.
When a customer wants to use LDAP over SSL with TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler for TIBCO BusinessEvents 1.0.0 and TIBCO BusinessEvents Distribution for TIBCO Silver Fabric 5.1.1, then they must use the Administrator container from a different Enabler released with a version of 2.0.1 or higher.
Problem: An Administrator Component made using a 1.0.0 Enabler (or any Enabler before 2.0.0) will not work with LDAP when using TRA 5.8.
Workaround: The user must install another TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler product with a 2.0.0 release or higher like:
• TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler for Adapter for Database 2.0.0
• TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler for Adapter for Files (Unix/Win) 2.0.0
Any customer who has purchased TIBCO Silver Fabric will have access to install and use these Enablers, but they won’t necessarily have access to the Distributions associated with them.
Configure and use the Administrator Component from the Enabler 2.0.0 release of higher in place of the Administrator container bundled with SFBE 1.0.0. The Component can be used with the application container in exactly the same way as the original Admin Component.
Alternatively you can use TRA 5.7 with Administrator Component.
Issue/Introduction
An Administrator Component made using a 1.0.0 Enabler (or any Enabler before 2.0.0) will not work with SSL enabled LDAP when using TRA 5.8.
