Resolution: Description: ========== This issue occurred mis-referencing in XERegistry file while upgrading environment.
Symptoms: ========= There are no error/ exception messages getting logged in the interior server's log files or anything else. We just see the following error message in the BC audit log after upgrading BC EDI protocol:
Interchange Validation Error: An error was reported from key manager. Description: Key formats file not found. ID: 0x41001B
Environment: =========== BusinessConnect EDI 5.x versions and above.
Resolution: ========= When the BC EDI installer is updating the relevant directories, it asks to delete XERegistry file under /<bc_home>/protocol/edi folder. If you do not delete the file during the upgrade some of its references get missed. There are many changes in newer versions of BC and its related protocols which will not be posted to the file if you do not delete it.
As a workaround, use the factory-default XERegistry file. You can find it under the <SpecBuilder_Home>\Config\XEngine folder.
