If TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Files wants to parse data using MS874 encoding, the user can select IBM874 instead of MS874 as it seems IBM874 is either similar or identical to MS874. If the user is providing the encoding MS874 by selecting "others" in the file system encoding, they usually get the following error while starting the file adapter:

Resolution
If TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Files is rewuired to parse data using MS874
encoding, the user can select IBM874 instead of MS874 as it seems IBM 874 is either similar or identical to the MS874. In the encoding tab, "others" should be selected for File System encoding and the name in "File System Encoding Other" should be given as IBM874 in order to apply the encoding.
