A sample template project to send/receive mails to/from Gmail.

 
Description:

This is a sample template project to send/receive mails to/from Gmail. It works on BusinessWorks 5.10 or above because these versions have SSL configuration over Mail activities. Use your own Gmail account to test it.
 

Environment:

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ 5.10 or above

Symptoms:

You can use this template when you want to send/receive mails to/from Gmail.

Cause:
==========
Since there is no concrete issue related, there is no cause for this.


Resolution:
==========
Follow these steps to test.

1).Get Gmail server certificates.
   
For POP3 server pop.gmail.com, access https://pop.gmail.com:995 from IE browser to get the certificates.
For SMTP server smtp.gmail.com, access https://smtp.gmail.com:465 to do the same.
 
2). With the default Entrust security vendor, we do not achieve SSL tracing on Mail communication even after enabling Trace.Task.*=true. An alternate way is to set the following two properties in designer.tra/bwengine.tra.
 
                # java.property.TIBCO_SECURITY_VENDOR=j2se
                # java.property.javax.net.debug=ssl
 

3).  If you run into the error, "Server certificate rejected by chain verifier" with the attached project, it should be the case that the certificates are out of date. Follow Ref #1 to correct the problem.
