Description
Resolution: Description: ============ When starting the BusinessConnect Interior and Gateway servers, the following exception occurs: "Failed to load shared library, library name : tibcojre64/1.6.0/bin/server/jvm.dll".
Environment: ========== Microsoft Windows BusinessConnect 6.X.X
Symptoms: ========= When starting BC Interior and Gateway from Administrator, the IS appears to start but never changes to "Running" mode and the IS or GS log files are never created. When starting both the servers from the command prompt, the following exception is seen: " Failed to load shared library, library name : tibcojre64/1.6.0/bin/server/jvm.dll".
Cause: ===== The bcengine wrapper may have issues loading libraries related to 64-bit JRE especially if it is a 32-bit wrapper
Resolution: ========= Need to use a bcengine 64-bit wrapper rather than a 32-bit wrapper. Make a backup of the bcengine wrapper from the folder (bc_home\6.x\bin) and then copy the Administrator wrapper from "admin_home\domain\domain_name\bin" to bc_home\6.x.\bin and rename this admin wrapper to bcengine. Essentially, the wrappers are the same but by doing this transforms the bcengine to a 64 bit-wrapper (assuming that administrator is a 64-bit software). Redeploy BC from the administrator.
This issue may also occur if the msvcr100.dll file is not installed in the proper location when using JRE 1.7 with BusinessConnect 6.1.0. If it still fails to start after changing the wrapper, copy "MSVCR100.dll" from "C:\tibco\tibcojre64\1.7.0\bin" to "C:\WINDOWS\system32", and restart the engine.
