TIBCO Runtime Agent (5.6.x, 5.7.x and 5.8.x) and TIBCO Administrator (5.6.x, 5.7.x and 5.8.x) are not compatible with TIBCO Hawk 5.x due to code changes.

If the Admin Domain tra files point to TIBCO Hawk 5.x, Admin Domain and HawkAgent will not start. If TIBCO Hawk 5.x is installed first and subsequently TIBCO Runtime Agent (5.7.x and 5.8.x) and TIBCO Administrator (5.7.x and 5.8.x) are installed, all tra files and template tra files will have HAWK_HOME entries pointing to TIBCO Hawk 5.x entries. This will require the manual editing of files to change the HAWK_HOME to TIBCO Hawk 4.9.0.

It is recommended that TIBCO Hawk 5.x be installed on a separate machine other than your Domain Machines, i.e. where you have TIBCO Runtime Agent (5.6.x, 5.7.x and 5.8.x) and TIBCO Administrator (5.6.x, 5.7.x and 5.8.x) installed. For customers who are using TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.x, 5.7.x and 5.8.x., it is recommended to not upgrade to TIBCO Hawk 5.0.0 at present.
TIBCO Hawk 5.x compatibility with TIBCO Runtime Agent is addressed in a new release of TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) 5.9.0. Note, TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.0 supports TIBCO Hawk 5.1.0. Contact TIBCO Support if you should have any additional questions.
