Description

An ActiveMatrix service with a SOAP Reference does not get registered in PM if the connect URL/HTTP client URL does not specify a port.
The following error is thrown:

An error occurred trying to create the target endpoint for web service urn:com.amberpoint.amf.configurations.webServiceRegistration:&ltendpoint_name>: malformed or non-existent endpoint while sending a message: Invalid location URI 'http://&lthost>:-1/&ltURI>': Illegal character in port number at index xx: &ltendpoint>"

Resolution
=========
Edit the URL / Substitution Variable value with the default port: 80 for http or 443 for HTTPS. This way the service gets registered and shows up in PM Console.
