Resolution: Resolution: ============ Engineering recommends setting the value of the Flow Controller hiWaterMark to the following:
"FC.hiWaterMark = number of modules in the flow + the number of cartridge sessions + 1"
This approach assumes a one to one relation between SO-WO, and can eventually be tuned depending on the importance of your STREAM modules and cartridge instances. Ideally, the best value is found through performance tuning.
There is no direct relation between FC.hiWatermark and the number of CPUs. The more CPUs the better with decreased waiting time. With high values of FC.hiWaterMark, the application may consume more CPU cycles and better performance is not guaranteed. Other factors play a role in performance including Network Elements, Data-Base, North bound interfaces, etc.
