Different behaviour logged/reported in relation to licenses for RV daemons initiated by Default Hawk Agent against RV daemons initiated by HMA plugins.

Symptoms:
=========
There have been instances where clients who have purchased a number of products and have been running RV daemons initiated by default by Hawk for instance - notice problems when adding HMA plug-ins that initiate a separate RV daemon. The RV daemon initiated by the Hawk Agent will report no license issue - but for the new RV daemon(s) clients may notice 'LICENSE.EXPIRE' or 'Unable to find ticket file' message reported in log.

Cause:
======
This is expected behavior because for the RV daemon initiated by the default Hawk Agent will use the bundled embedded license supplied when the client purchases the products.

For any new Hawk Micro Agent plugin added that initiates a new RV session – which does not have an embedded license and by default this RV daemon will use the RV license ticket file tibrv.tkt when the daemon was started.


Resolution:
=========
Client should obtain a permanent license for TIBCO Rendezvous.

1). Click on any 8.x+ version of the TIBCO Rendezvous Enterprise Daemon download at the TIBCO product download site (www.download.tibco.com).  There will be a link called “TIBCO Rendezvous Enterprise Daemon License Information 1.0.0”. Download this Word document as it contains a permanent license for RV daemons.

Copy the keys from this Word document and paste it into your existing tibrv.tkt file or create a new text file (named tibrv.tkt) in the bin directory of the RV installation and paste these entries into it.

If you can not access TIBCO Rendezvous Enterprise Daemon License Information 1.0.0” link,  contact TIBCO Messaging Support. We will need to verify if your company has purchased normal RV licenses.
