Description
Description: When migrating from a BusinessConnect (BC) 5.3.3 environment to a BC 6.X.X environment, the Administrator cannot import the .csx file.
Symptoms: In examining the Administrator.log file, and outOfMemory exception occurs. This issue frequently comes up when running the Administrator in a 32-bit environment.
Cause: The BC 6.X.X import process generates a large amount of data that has to be inserted into the BC 6.X.X database.
Issue/Introduction
Administrator will not import a BusinessConnect 5.X .csx file into a BC 6.X environment
Resolution
The best way to resolve the issue is to run the Administrator in a 64-bit environment.
If this is not available, you will have to migrate the installation by exporting the Operations and the trading partners incrementally rather than exporting the entire configuration:
1). Export the operations in the Operations Editor, and import them into your new installation.
2). Export your trading participants 30 at a time and include the trading host in each export. This will bring the BusinessAgreements along with the export.
3). Import the participants into the new environment.
