Description: Using shared_nothing persistance with Host-Aware-Replication, servers hangs.
Symptoms: Symptoms
1). Servers runs out of memory and becomes unresponsive,
2). As-agent processes taking up all available memory and there is no memory left for the OS.
3). All other Servers that are up have many agents that are no longer responding and the agents that were running are consuming very high memory (approximately 8 GB).
Cause: 1). Run 9 agents, 3 across 3 machines.
2). Run 10 clients (which defines 10 spaces with primary and secondary indexes, replication count 1, async replication, shared nothing async persistance, ) , 5 across 2 machines.
3). Kill 3 agents on a machine. Space will go to recover state.
4). Restart agents.
5). Monitor memory usage of agents.
6). Issue recovery from admin.
Issue/Introduction
Servers hangs with Host-Aware-Replication in Shared_Nothing Persistence.
Resolution
Installing TIBCO ActiveSpaces® 2.1.2 HF-06 addresses this issue.
