Resolution:
The BQL tool auto selects the part of the query statement that you drag over (this is the default behavior) and the Run Query only executes the portion that is highlighted and throws "no viable alternative at input" exception since the BQL is executing the partial query. Select the complete query to resolve this issue. There can be multiple queries in the same tab and only what is highlighted will be executed in BQL.
