Description:
Starting with TIBCO ActiveMatrix (AMX) 3.3.0, users should be able to choose a different Enterprise Message Service (EMS) Connection Factory while creating an AMX Administrator Server through TCT. If it is a non-admin EMS user used, we are not able to see any Connection Factory Name in the drop down list. We have set proper permissions for the non-admin users following the AMX document.
Symptoms:
With the "Select New Connection Factory" option checked, the drop down list of Connection Factory Name is empty.
Cause:
Looking at the list of Connection Factories, the non-admin user needs to have one additional permission of view-factory on the EMS server.
Resolution
Grant view-factory permission to the non-admin user from EMS Administrator tool as follows:
grant admin user=username view-factory
grant admin user=username view-factory
