Issue/Introduction

com.tibco.amx.platform application is in “Start Failed” status.

Resolution

The com.tibco.amx.platform application is the parent application on each node which all other applications depend on. In this case, avoid performing any application life cycle operations (deploy, undeploy, start, etc.) on this particular node until the problem is resolved. From the Administrator GUI, choose the com.tibco.amx.platform (Node_Name) application and click "Status", where you can find which binding(s) or component(s) failed to start. Search the binding or component in the Node log. You should be able to locate the complete stack trace of the exception. After fixing the problem, restart the node. If the problem persists, stop the tibcohost with the -wait option (tibcohost stop -wait true) and then restart.

For additional assistance, open a service request with the appropriate severity. Make sure the following information is included in the SR.

- Product version and hotfix level. 
- Screenshot of the binding(s) or component(s) which are failed to start. 
- Complete Node log which shows the exception stack trace.
