How to install Oracle Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) - LGPL Assemblies in Console or Silent mode of TIBCO Runtime Agent Installer.

Steps to install Oracle Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) - LGPL Assemblies in Console or Silent mode of TIBCO Runtime Agent Installer.

GUI Mode: 

Steps for GUI Mode are already documented in TIBCO Runtime Agent Installation Guide -->Chapter 2 :Installing TIBCO Runtime Agent -- >Installation Prerequisites -->Install using GUI Mode .

Console Mode:

1). Copy the TIBCO Runtime Agent  5.9.x or higher installer to your machine.

2). Download the library ” product_tibco_sunec_<JRE-VERSION>_OS.zip”  into a folder: Example C:\Sunec . 

Note: JRE-VERSION should match the JRE Version bundled with TRA. 

You can download from https://edelivery.tibco.com -->OS Platform --> TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.x or higher.

For example for TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.0, you should see sunec_1.7.0.055 as JRE bundled with TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.0 is JRE 1.7.0.055:

3). Run the TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.x installer in console mode TIBCOUniversalInstaller-x86-64.exe –console .

4). In the Welcome screen it will show all the products that are installing. Select "1" to continue.

5). Select "1" to continue reading the license file or "2" to skip reading and click "Yes" to accept the license agreement. 

6). Select the proper Home you want to install or your machine.

7). In the profile selection select "Typical Installation" or "Custom Installation" and select "1" to continue.

8). In the EMS Configuration screen provide the EMS installation path.

9). In the LGPL License agreement, select "1" to accept the license.

10). In the next screen (LGPL Assembly), download options are download or specify the library location.

Select "provide location" and give the path of as shown in step 2. Example: C:\Sunec

11). In the pre installation summary screen, select "1" and continue the installation further with the information provided in the command screen.

Silent Mode:

1). Copy the TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.x or higher installer to your machine.

2). Download the library ” product_tibco_sunec_<JRE-VERSION>_OS.zip”  into a folder: Example C:\Sunec . 

Note: JRE-VERSION should match the JRE Version bundled with TRA .

You can download from https://edelivery.tibco.com -->OS Platform --> TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.x or higher.

For example for TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.0  , you should see  sunec_1.7.0.055 as JRE bundled with TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.0 is JRE 1.7.0.055:

3). Edit TIBCOUniversalInstaller_TRA_5.9.x.silent file and provide your Home path in installation Root.

4). Edit the createNewEnvironment as false.

5). Edit the environmentName of your Home .

6). Edit the configDirectoryRoot and provide your Home path.

7). Specify the EMS path in emsConfigDir .

8). Enter “true” in LGPLAssemblyLicenseAccepted .

9). Enter “false” in LGPLAssemblyDownload .

10). Enter the path of Library download“LGPLAssemblyPath” i.e., c:/sunec  .

11). Run the TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.9.x installer in silent mode TIBCOUniversalInstaller-x86-64.exe –silent –V  .

NOTE:

• The Installer needs to have the user running the Installer to have write permission in the Installer package directory because the Installer copies the local LGPL file into the assemblies directory within the Installer package directory.
• LGPL sunec libraries version should match the version of JRE you using with TRA you cannot mismatch the LGPL sunec libraries version.
• Example: TRA 5.9.0 bundles JRE 1.7.0.055 so you need to match the version of LGPL Sunec libraries and install product_tibco_sunec_1.7.0.055_OS Platform.zip.
• Similarly for TRA 5.9.1 bundles JRE 1.7.0.076 so you need to match the version of LGPL Sunec libraries and install product_tibco_sunec_1.7.0.076_OS Platrform.zip.
