Description

Resolution:
There should be no problem using a name that DNS can resolve in the discovery (or listen) URL. The library resolves the name before attempting to connect and will attempt to resolve it again. We have no preference on using DNS names or IP addresses directly (as long as DNS resolves to the correct IP).

If the DNS server is down the new members will not join, but existing members will run without any issues because they already resolve to an IP address. If you have any plans to change the IP address in the DNS, you need to restart cluster to resolve the new IP again.
