When migrating an adapter project from an old version pre 5.5.0 to newer versions (5.5.0 or 6.x) without changing any configurations, the publication service will fail to receive messages from the IBM i server with error message, "Unexpected class: /tibco/public/scalar/ae/char.x. Expecting MModeledClassDescription."

The publication service of TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for IBM i fails to receive messages from IBM i server with error message, "Unexpected class: /tibco/public/scalar/ae/char.x. Expecting MModeledClassDescription."
Resolution
This is because since adapter version 5.5.0, the schemas for the message are required to be defined under the Entry schema element in the main schema for the adapter service. However, this limitation does not apply to adapter versions older than 5.5.0.
