Description

Resolution:

1). What does this script exactly do?

- The post migration script will migrate the old process executions path (tracks) (the green arrows of the process definitions) into the new tables.

2). Will there be old BWPM entries when we do not run this script?

- If you omit the post migration, the process executions from the last days will not appear, but the new process executions right after the regular migration will be visible immediately.

3). Can we run this script while the BusinessWorks ProcessMonitor (BWPM) server is upgraded and already in use? Or should the BWPM server be stopped while running this script?

Yes, you can start the post migration after regular migration. The script is designed so that it can run in the background while BWPM is running. You can also start the BWPM server and later run the script while the server is running. The script can also be cancelled and restarted multiple times without issue. It will resume work where it was aborted and not try to migrate the data again.  Note, the larger the amount of data, the longer it will take the post migration.

4). Can the GUI be used while this script runs?

- Yes, you can use the BWPM GUI while post migration is running.
