How to disable the "Export" item in the Web Player menu.
Resolution
There are two options to disable the "Export" item in Web Player menu.
Option 1):

- Go to your web player server. Open Web.config. Search for 'showExportFile' in Web.config.
- By default, the value is 'true'. Now set its value to false.
'showExportFile=false'
- Reset IIS.
Option 1):

- Go to your web player server. Open Web.config. Search for 'showExportFile' in Web.config.
- By default, the value is 'true'. Now set its value to false.
'showExportFile=false'
- Reset IIS.
Note: This will disable the Export option for all the Web player users.

Option 2):

You need to disable the following licenses for all groups of which users are a member of. Only the Spotfire Administrator can perform this task.

Export to PDF
Export Image
Export Data

Follow the steps below to hide the "Export" item in the Web Player menu. A screenshot file is attached. (File name: Export_Item_in_Web_player.JPG).
- Log in to Spofire Professional client with administrator privilege.
- Once you log in, go to Tools --> Administration Manager.
- In the Administration Manager window, click on the 'Groups and Licenses' tab.
- Select all groups, one by one, from the 'Available groups' panel for which users are member of.
- Once you select the group, click on the Licenses tab in the right panel.
- Under the Licenses tab, click on the Edit button and expand the 'TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise Player' license.
- You will need to disable the above mentioned licenses to hide the 'Export' item in the Web Player menu.
Note: You can disable the individual export items (e.g., To PDF, To Microsoft PowerPoint etc.) in Web Player by disabling the associated export license in the Administration Manager.
