When TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 is installed on top of TIBCO Run-Time Agent (TRA ) 5.9.0 and the cache node is started after the installation, the engine core dumps.
Description:
When TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 is installed on top of TIBCO Run-Time Agent 5.9.0 and the cache node is started after the installation, the engine core dumps. The engine core dumps when the Active Spaces initialization starts. A standalone TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 installation without TIBCO Run-Time Agent 5.9.0 works as expected. The difference we found was the version of the wrapper when TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 installed on top of TRA 5.9.0. Attached (Filename: be513_TRA590_linux.txt) are the LDD output and wrapper version details for a standalone TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 installation and TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 installed on top of TRA 5.9.0.
Symptoms:
Cache agent core dumps during initialization of Active Spaces during engine startup.
Cause:
Mis-match in wrapper version when TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 is installed on top of TRA 5.9.0.
Issue/Introduction
Resolution
When we collected the LDD version for the BE-ENGINE and WRAP binaries, we found that the libstdc++.so. was not the desired version. As a workaround, copy the binary from any standalone installation of TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 setup and replace the binaries from the TIBCO Business Events 5.1.3 installation on top TRA 5.9.0. The issue is fixed in TRA 5.9.0 HF2 or in TIBCO Business Events 5.1.4.
