Description:
While installing TIBCO Rendezvous " .TIBCO" and ".TIBCOEnvinfo" directories get created in the "?" directory on Linux. Ideally these directories should be created in the user.home directory .
Symptoms:
TIBCO Runtime Agent Universal Installer cannot detect the existing TIBCO_HOME directory and fails. "Installer invoked by: ?" and "System user.home = ?" are observed in the installation log file.
Cause:
While installing TIBCO Rendezvous " .TIBCO" and ".TIBCOEnvinfo" directories get created in the "?" directory on Linux. Ideally these directories should be created in the user.home directory .

user.home on linux is "?"
The is a Java bug (JDK-6972329) that "user.home" has a value of "?" when using JDK 1.6 32-bit on a 64-bit RedHat Linux system. Refer to:

This may be due to using a 32-bit 1.6 JVM.
Issue/Introduction
TIBCO Runtime Agent Universal Installer is not able to detect TIBCO_HOME of TIBCORendezvous user.home on Linux.
Resolution
As a workaround, use TIBCOUniversalInstaller-lnx-x86-64.bin version 3.2.2 V1 that can be downloaded from mft.tibco.com.
