Spotfire Analyst | 7.0 and higher |
1). Open your analysis in the Spotfire Analyst/Professional desktop client.
2). Go to 'Edit' and then 'Data function properties'.3). Make sure that the 'Type' property for your data functions matches the engine type that your TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services instance is configured to use. You can change the type under 'Edit script'.
If your data function is of a different type than the engine type running on the TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services server, you either need to change the data function type from TERR to R or from R to TERR, or configure your client to use a statistics server with an engine type that matches your data functions. For TERR data functions, as opposed to R data functions, you can set them to always run locally (i.e not use a server) from Tools > Options or set explicitly set run location per data function. Local execution for TERR is possible because Spotfire Analyst has a built in TERR execution engine, however, Web Player will need a Statistics server (TSSS) to run any kind of data function.
If you have set any TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services URL preferences in Administration Manager, make sure that they are correct. If you have not set a URL preference, then assign the appropriate URLs for each TSSS engine type. These preferences are available at 'Tools -> Administration Manager -> Preferences' and are set on the 'Everyone' group. Select the 'Everyone' group. You will find 'TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services -> StatisticsServices' in the Preferences tab.
