Description: TIBCO ActiveMatrix (AMX) nodes of products listed in the "Environment" section of this LBN, may fail to start due to a fatal error, "...TrinityRuntimeException: TCSConnection object is null:;". It has been identified as a product defect where an internal identity certificate would expire when a node is more than two years old. Customers are requested to apply the required hotfixes to avoid being impacted by this defect. If a required hotfix is applied proactively, the internal identity certificate will be automatically renewed before it expires.
Hotfixes are cumulative. We recommend the the latest available hotfix version for the product unless there are compatibility issues listed in the hotfix readme file.
Symptoms:

AMX node fails to start after two years of creation. Exception like below may be found from logs of SystemNode and/or the affected node.
"...TrinityRuntimeException: TCSConnection object is null:;"
Resolution:

The defect has been closed in below hotfix versions. If you are using an older AMX version and haven't been communicated regarding this matter, or may have any question, please contact TIBCO Global Support.

The following fatal error caused by the expiry of an internal identity certificate is now resolved.
"...TrinityRuntimeException: TCSConnection object is null:;"
The above error was caused when TIBCO ActiveMatrix nodes that are are older than two years.
Closed Issue in AMX 3.2.0_hotfix008:

TIBCO ActiveMatrix nodes that existed for more than two years no longer produce
the following error when invoking services:
"...TrinityRuntimeException: TCSConnection object is null:; \85"
An internal identity certificate that expires two years after the node
creation is now successfully renewed.
Closed Issue in AMX 3.3.0_hotfix003:

The following fatal error, "...TrinityRuntimeException: TCSConnection object is null:;",
caused by the expiry of an internal identity certificate is now resolved. The above
error occurred when there were TIBCO ActiveMatrix nodes that are more than two years old.
The hotfixes can be downloaded from the TIBCO Product Support file transfer server, mft.tibco.com, using you username and password for the TIBCO Support Central website. Please note you should use an FTP or SFTP client or command-line FTP. TIBCO employees must use a secure protocol.
