Issue/Introduction

Not able to save data source in Information Designer. Error, "Connections to MySQL Community Server are not supported".

Resolution

To connect to Oracle MySQL Community Server, you should be using the vendor's native MySQL driver instead of the DataDirect driver as well as the corresponding data source template. You may have to download driver and update the JDBC template to enable the MySQL native driver, if you have not already done so.
