Resolution:
The Maximum Message Size recommendation and the max_client_msg_size server property are two different things. The 512MB Maximum Message Size that we document in the User's Guide is the largest size that we test with. We recommend that customers use much smaller messages or at least do not exceed that size. max_client_msg_size is a way we allow a user to enforce a limit on the size of messages that the server will accept. Users may set it to any value, up to a 2GB, or even having no limit. When omitting max_client_msg_size or setting it to 0 does not change the fact that we do not test nor support message sizes larger than 512MB.
