Description
Description: When an SSL connection is made to the standby server in an FT pair, the handshake_timeout parameter is not enforced. If the connection is attempted with the active server, the timeout is enforced.
Symptoms: EMS standby server is hanging and could not accept new connections when an erroneous EMS client is stuck at the SSL handshake. The handshake_timeout parameter does not take effect with the standby server. Cause: N/A
Issue/Introduction
EMS standby server (version 8.2.1 and lower) does not enforce handshake_timeout for SSL connections.
Resolution
EMS engineering has determined that this is a defect: EMS-6460. It was fixed in EMS 8.2.2 as a byproduct of another fix.
Upgrading the existing 8.2.1 and lower version servers to 8.2.2 and higher.
