Description

Resolution:
If the inbound message rate is consistently higher than the outbound message rate from server statistics (i.e "info"/"show server" in tibemsadmin), but the number of pending messages stays consistent, check if the bridge from the topic to the queue is configured. In the inbound rate, EMS takes into account messages sent to the topic and those bridged to the queue. Bridged messages are new messages, which has a different message ID than the original message, so it is reasonable to count them in the inbound rate. EMS only takes into account those messages sent to consumers in "outbound rate". If there is no consumer on the source topic, the inbound rate can be consistently higher than the outbound rate. The difference is the result of how the EMS server calculates statistics. Such bridge configurations does not impact EMS performance.
