Environment

Resolution

The following are the Steps for changing the JDBC password configured for TIBCO BusinessWorks ProcessMonitor (BWPM) server.

1). Stop the Tomcat server. Create a backup of the TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/bwpm/WEB-INF/data/njams.minimal.config.properties file.

2). Change the password for your database.

3). Restart the Tomcat server.

4). Login and go to Administration->JDBC Settings .

While performing this step, you will not see the BWPM instance name on the login screen. You will need to login as Setup user and not as BWPM user. The Setup user is the user which you first created while creating the BWPM instance. The details for the Setup user can be found in the TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/bwpm/WEB-INF/data/njams.minimal.config.properties file.

5). Set the new password in the JDBC configuration.

6). Save the changes and log out. You will see the Existing Instance name in the login page of the BWPM GUI.

Note that when you perform step 1 to 5, during that time messages on the Event Queue will not be processed. Once you set new password and start the data providers it will start consuming messages.
