Resolution:
The following issues are seen with with Red Hat Linux 6.6, 7.0 or 7.1

Red Hat Linux 6.6 : kernel 2.6.32-504

Red Hat Linux 7.0 : kernel 3.10.0-123

Red Hat Linux 7.1 : kernel 3.10.0-229

  • User processes can deadlock and hang.
  • Missed heartbeats between members.
  • Network packet drop between cluster members.
  • Send is taking a long time on a connection.
  • AS members stop responding causing threads (process count) to grow. 

There is know issue "futex_wait() bug" with Red Hat Linux 6.6, 7.0 or 7.1 . This is fixed in later versions. Upgrade to a later version will resolve the issue.
