Dynamically supply a character set for Parse and Render activities correctly. This was addressed by adding the "forceCharacterSet" field to the input data of both activities. If a value is supplied for this field, then it will be used as the actual character set during the activity execution. If forceCharacterSet is not supplied, then the value of the Character Set field on the Configuration tab will be in effect.

In the CCB schema tab, The schema is defined differently in 2.5 and 2.2. In 2.5 all the elements are locally defined under &ltxs:complexType name="_ROOT_TYPE"> So 'XML Element reference' in input tab of any activity cannot access any element definition from CCB schema.

VALUE SPACE (SPACES, NULLS) is not properly expanded into the default value. In fact "SPACES", for instance, will be output into the data,  or rather a substring of "SPACES"  depending on the specific picture.

Obtaining the Hotfix

To download Hotfix 5, go to ftp://support-ftp.tibco.com using the browser or FTP client of your choice. You will be prompted for your userid and password, the same as required to open a Service Request.  
  Select available_downloads
  Select ActiveEnterprise
  Select BusinessWorks
  Select Plugins
  Select Copybook
  Select 2.5.0

You should then be able to see and download the files appropriate for your platform. The available Hotfix 5 files include:

    TIB_bwplugincopybook_2.5.0_readme_hotfix05.txt
    TIB_bwplugincopybook_2.5.0_unix_hotfix05.tar
     TIB_bwplugincopybook_2.5.0_win_hotfix05.zip
