Dear GridServer users,

We have just released TIBCO Datasynapse Gridserver 5.1.2 HF-4 (5.1.2 SP2 Hotfix 4).

This Hotfix is intended to be installed on a 5.1.2 install ONLY. It contains a critical stability fix for long running services as well as an enhancement to the upgrade process for Hotfixes.

If you are using C++ drivers or PDriver on either Linux or Solaris and are running Services that last hours, we recommend you upgrade as soon as possible to prevent an unrecoverable crash. While the crash usually takes hours to happen, we were able to reproduce it consistently.

Issues Fixed

GS-10641        
It was possible to install a Hotfix on the wrong Service Pack. For example, it was possible to install a Hotfix meant for 5.1.2 onto 5.1.1. We now disallow this.

GS-10676        
A crash would occur on Linux and Solaris C++ Drivers. Typically this would happen after running for a few hours. This was due to an internal issue in the cURL library, which has been fixed.
