Description: The patch can be downloaded from the TIBCO Support ftp server, support-ftp.tibco.com. Please use your eSupport username and password to access the server. After connecting, go to /available_downloads/ActiveMatrix/BusinessWorksServiceEngine/5.9.3/hotfix-01/ to download the appropriate hotfix for your OS/platform.
All Platforms: Follow the steps in scenario 1 or 2 as appropriate.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scenario 1: Steps for applying the hotfix to a new installation of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Follow the installation instructions for TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine 5.9.3. In the last panel of the installer, uncheck the checkbox labeled "Run TIBCO Configuration Tool", if it is present.
2. Extract the hotfix archive file to a temporary directory.
3. Navigate to the temporary directory.
4. Download the TIBCO Universal Installer version 2.9.4 V06 from the TIBCO Support FTP server ftp://support-ftp.tibco.com and place it in the folder next to this readme file.
5. Run the TIBCO Universal Installer.
6. If the installation profile is Runtime Host or Administration, run TIBCO Configuration Tool from <TIBCO_HOME>/tct/1.1.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scenario 2: Steps for applying the hotfix to an existing installation of ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine; NOTE: The hotfix will be applied to only new instances that are created after installation of the hotfix --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Shut down all running TIBCO applications.
2. Extract the hotfix archive file to a temporary directory.
3. Navigate to the temporary directory.
4. Download the TIBCO Universal Installer version 2.9.4 V06 from the TIBCO Support FTP server ftp://support-ftp.tibco.com and place it in the folder next to this readme file.
5. Run the TIBCO Universal Installer, selecting an existing TIBCO_HOME.
6. If the installation profile is Runtime Host or Administration, run TIBCO Configuration Tool from <TIBCO_HOME>/tct/1.1 and select a new TIBCO_CONFIG_HOME folder.
Go to <TIBCO_HOME>\studio\3.5\eclipse and start TIBCO Business Studio with the –clean argument: TIBCOBusinessStudio.exe -clean
At Runtime
To upgrade existing runtime objects:
1. Shut down all running TIBCO applications.
2. Run Ant with the file <TIBCO_HOME>\bwse\5.9\scripts\upgrade\upgrade-5.9.3.HF1\build.xml following the instructions in TIB_bwse_5 9 3_HF-001_upgrade.pdf.
Note: Make sure that Apache Ant 1.7.1 is installed.
