Engine Daemon-Unix

For 64 bit Linux Engine, LD_PRELOAD is no longer set if JRE version is not 1.5.

Resource Deployment

GS-11657

On Windows Server 2008 or higher, the TEMP directory is user-specific. When
using RunAs, the Engine may not be able to write to it, resulting in potential
Grid Library corruption. The library downloader now uses the 'tmp' directory in
its working directory, which is writable by all.

Scheduler

GS-11651

We have changed the behavior of redundant rescheduling. Previously, when the
maximum number was exceeded, all instances of the Task were cancelled and the
Task failed. Now, they are allowed to run until one completes. To revert this
behavior, disable this fix in the Hotfix section of the Manager Configuration.

GS-11666

A scheduling bug was introduced in hotfix 15 that can occur on Manager that
contains a Director (Standalone Brokers are not affected). On a task reservation
timeout, the fix for GS-11630 did not take effect, and it would take longer than
it should for timed-out reservations to be reassigned.

GridServer 5.1.2 Hotfix 16 is now available
