Release Version : 3.1.0_HF-004
Release Date : February 2016
================================================================================
Introduction
Hotfixes are cumulative. This hotfix includes the issues listed in the Closed
Issues section.
A TIB_AMXBPM_3.1.0-HF1_Addendum_CaseManagement.zip file is supplied as
part of this Hotfix distribution.
Extract TIB_AMXBPM_3.1.0-HF1_Addendum_CaseManagement.zip to a temporary
directory. The .zip file contains:
- TIBCO ActiveMatrix® BPM Hotfix Addendum. This addendum provides updated
documentation for changes and fixes that have been implemented in TIBCO
ActiveMatrix BPM 3.1 Hotfix 001.
- TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM 3.1 Hotfix 001 compatible versions of the BPM public
web service API (in the public_api folder).
================================================================================
This hotfix applies to the following products and versions:
- TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM 3.1.0 to 3.1.0_HF-003.

Closed issues in 3.1.0_HF-004 (This Release)
WRM-8887
If you upgrade a business data application, but not the user application
that references the business data application, and then restart your
ActiveMatrix BPM node, all subsequent case creation fails with an error
similar to the following:
"{BDS_GLOBAL_DATA_CREATE_FAULT}
- Fault in creating a BDS case ?{extendedMessage=`No annotated model element
present for: XYZInsurance for type EClass has its epackage been registered
with Teneo?`"
WRM-8841
If the result-set of any LDAP Container container includes the AMX-BPM Admin
user, for example tibco-admin, and the auto-deletion of invalid resources is
enabled (de.properties entry "AutoResourceDeleteEnabled=true"), the processing
of Candidate Queries fails with the logged error
"DE_CANDIDATE_QUERY_PROCESS_ERROR NullPointerException".
WRM-8833
In TIBCO Openspace, when listing migration rules, sometimes an exception similar
to the one below is thrown:
"at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745) Caused by:
java.lang.NullPointerException at com.tibco.bx.management.BxManager.
listMigrationRules(BxManager.java:4244) ... 72 more ]"
This is because, although the migration versions exist, information about the
migration versions is not complete. Now, any missing data is skipped and the
migration rules display; any warnings about invalid rows are written to the
BPM log.
WRM-8832
The process engine throws an exception when processing catch tasks for a
specific throw event in the process and, if one or more of the catch tasks do
not exist. Now, the process engine checks whether or not the catch tasks exist
and, if any do not exist, they are skipped and the task continues to process
as normal. Any warnings about missing catch tasks are written to the BPM log.
WRM-8831
Correlation processing sometimes fails when one or more receivers, matching
the correlation data, reference non-existent tasks or processes. The BPM
runtime now:
- checks for valid tasks referenced in waiting rows of the
PVM_MSG_WAITING_RECEIVER BPM database table.
- provides extra information on INFO level logging messages.
- writes a WARN level logging message if a matching receiver is found with a
non-existent task or process.
WRM-8830
In certain circumstances, attempting to resume a HALTED process instance
resulted in the process incorrectly going into a FAILED state. This meant
that you could not attempt another resume.
WRM-8817
RQL queries that refer to LDAP attributes may contact LDAP more often than
necessary.
WRM-8813
(only applies to TIBCO Workspace). If you have an LDAP container that includes
the tibco-admin user, when viewing the resources in that container, a
DE_INTERNAL_SERVICE_FAULT error displays.
WRM-8810
Each RQL expression requires a reference count of its use within a process.
That reference count is maintained in the database during work allocation.
Under heavy load, the allocation of work items that reference RQL in their
participant or performer field may direct work items to the "undelivered"
queue due to transaction timeouts during the RQL registration.
WRM-8806
Generic attributes are only displayed in the Audit Trail in Openspace, if they
have been mapped to simple data fields in a process. If generic attributes are
mapped to business object model data fields, the generic attributes are not
displayed in the Audit Trail.
OS-3464
If you attempt to log into Openspace after clearing the browser cache, the
password field is cleared and the first login fails. Clicking the login
button a second time logs you in successfully.
OS-3459
In Openspace on Internet Explorer 11, when using basic authentication, there
is an intermittent issue where when you press F5 or select Refresh, Openspace
does not log you out and display the Login panel. See "Configuring
Authentication" in the Openspace Customization Guide for more information.
OS-3444
In Openspace, when you open a work item, if the form resource URL is from a
different domain to the hosting application domain, the form fails to load.
OS-3435
In Openspace, in certain scenarios, the session is timing out incorrectly.
OS-3434
In Openspace, even if you are logged in as a user that has the readGlobalData
and manageDataViews system actions assigned to it, you are not able to view or
create case data views.
WS-1719
If you login into TIBCO Workspace and you are assigned a system view that has
a period (.) character in the name, the column definitions for the view are not
persisted in the database until you log out. If, for some reason, you do not log
out, it is possible that the column definitions for your system view are not
persisted. Therefore, the next time you log in, Workspace shows the default set
of columns rather than the columns assigned in your system view.
