Installation

All Products

Determine the server's operating system, select the zip file from the hotfix

that matches this information, and unzip it to a temporary location.

----------------------------------------

Transaction Insight

1. Back up the environment folder. The location of this folder varies. A

   typical install on Windows would place the folder at

   c:\TIBCO\TransactionInsight\5.1.0\Environments\<ENV>, where <ENV> is

   your environment folder.

2. Unzip the environment.zip folder into the environment folder from the

   previous step.

3. For Oracle TI databases, execute the following scripts contained in the

   database\Oracle directory of the hotfix in the order listed:

       - TIB_ti_hotfix_5.1.0_HF-001.sql

       - TIB_ti_procsandviews_5.1.0_HF-001.sql

4. For SQL Server TI databases, execute the following scripts contained in the

   database\SqlServer directory of the hotfix in the order listed:

       - TIB_ti_hotfix_5.1.0_HF-001.sql

       - TIB_ti_procsandviews_5.1.0_HF-001.sql

5. If this is a web server, restart IIS.

1. For Oracle TI databases, execute the following script contained in the

   database\Oracle directory of the hotfix:

TIUtilities

In TI 5.1.0 the -st option was deprecated.  That functionality is now handled by

Importer.  Using the -st option caused a warning to be written to the log.  With

this hotfix the -st option was added back for those clients using BI Bridge.

The -st option creates work items for BI Bridge and should not be used unless

you are also using BI Bridge.

*** Using the -st option without BI Bridge will cause work items to accumulate

and slow down TIUtilities.

Uninstallation

To remove a hotfix, you must:

1. delete the contents of the hotfix directory and restore any files changed per

the hotfix readme instructions.

2. If any database scripts were run, restore your database from the backup you

made prior to installing the hotfix.

This returns your software to its original condition.

To reinstall a previous hotfix version, follow the instructions

published in the hotfix readme file that is part of the hotfix

package.
