Revised End of Support (EOS) date for TIBCO PortalBuilder® 4.5.3
In November of 2005, TIBCO first published an EOS date for TIBCO PortalBuilder® (PB) 4.5.3 of March 31, 2007. In April of 2007, TIBCO extended that EOS date until March 29, 2008 in LBN1-83OUPB. This notice supercedes that notice.
TIBCO is once again extending the EOS date for PB 4.5.3, and the new EOS date is September 27, 2008. Service Requests for PB 4.5.3 will no longer be accepted after this date.
The purpose of this extension is to allow our customers additional time and flexibility while they migrate their portal(s) to the current version of the product.
During these additional 6 months, TIBCO Support will continue to answer product questions, but no enhancements or service pack releases will be provided. No support for newer versions of 3rd party software will be added. If any 3rd party vendors have ended support for specific software package(s) used in conjunction with PB, TIBCO will use "best efforts" to provide support for those discontinued package(s). TIBCO will not assume any obligation to provide support for any software package that has been declared obsolete (or is past the EOS date) by their vendor.
Defect corrections will only be considered for critical issues that have no workarounds.
Should support or maintenance be requested after the EOS date, we may (at TIBCO's sole discretion) provide you with the option for support on a Time and Materials (T&M) basis through a Support work order; through our Professional Services organization; through a qualified TIBCO subcontractor; or through an extended maintenance agreement.
