TIBCO hereby announces that it will retire the following product(s), and cease providing maintenance for the product(s), as of 11:59 pm Pacific Time on August 1, 2016:

•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics Author
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics Consumer
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics for iOS
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics for Android
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics for Windows 8
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics for Windows Phone
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics Services (included with TIBCO Spotfire® Server)
•    TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics Modeler (included with TIBCO Spotfire® Analyst)

Maintenance services for the product(s) will continue in full force and effect according to the terms of your agreement with TIBCO until the earlier of the retirement date or termination of any such maintenance services under the terms of your applicable agreement with TIBCO.
 
During the retirement phase, TIBCO Support will continue to service this product as explained in customer maintenance agreements. However, enhancements will no longer be made to the products.

In reviewing our current product line, we identified that the Spotfire Metrics capabilities - namely, KPI monitoring and consumption of analytics on mobile devices - were important features of a comprehensive suite of analytics capabilities. We concluded that customers would be better served by having those capabilities integrated into the TIBCO Analytics platforms, instead of through a separate product offering. In fact, many customers have already chosen to use native Spotfire or Jaspersoft capabilities to publish KPI dashboards to mobile devices.

As we focus on delivering industry-leading products that meet our customers’ most important analytics needs, we believe that investing in our core platforms will better serve the market and our customers. Our intention is to continue investing in improving the analytics experience on a variety of form factors, from large screens to mobile devices.
