Description

In WebStatistica, when trying to retrieve the Status of My Batch Jobs,  a timeout error shown as below occurs.

The timeout occurs because there are too many jobs when WebStatistica queries the batch jobs. Either the timeout of WebStatistica can be increased or the number of batch jobs listed can be reduced.

Environment

Windows

Resolution

Resolution 1:

1. Open WebStatistica Administration tool on the WebStatistica Server

2. Increase the value of the settings named AsynchronousTimeoutLL and AsynchronousTimeoutSL to 60 from the default 20

WebStat Timeout

3. Restart the WebStatistica service

Resolution 2:

1. Navigate to the \WebSTATISTICAPub\RepositoryRoot\Jobs\username folder and manually delete the subfolders that contain the jobs.

2. Restart the WebStatistica service

Best practice:

A best practice could be to occasionally delete old jobs, e.g. jobs that are older than x number of days, to avoid such timeout errors.
