Issue/Introduction

Error: Getting MetadataService4 - The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized connecting to CRM 4.0 adapter

Resolution

You may have incorrect information configured in the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Connection dialog for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Adapter. Try the following:
  • Verify the that the Dynamics CRM user configured for the connection is a System Administrator and System Customizer in your Microsoft Dynamics CRM organization.
  • If you are using Active Directory Authentication in the connection to the Adapter, make sure you are a member of the CRM Active Directory PrivUserGroup group.
  • On the Connection dialog in TIBCO Scribe® Insight, try logging in while leaving the domain field blank.  It should fill in automatically.  If not make it the full name, in the following format: servername.domainname.com
  • Verify your Dynamics CRM organization name.  You need the Unique name when configuring the Connection and it should not include spaces.
For additional information, see the following in the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Help: Connecting To The Adapter
