Description:
When trying to import metadata generated by Tibco MDM version 8.3.2 into version 9.1.0, then the import fails with a schema validation error.
Symptoms:
The following error is returned when trying to import metadata:
SVC-11117: Schema validation failed.
The reason is that the 8.3 exported XML file have xsi:nil="true", but for 9.1.0 we do not have nilable property.

Resolution
To resolve this please Update the exported(from 8.3.2) XML file with below lines :
From
<DbColumnName xsi:nil="true"/>
to
<DbColumnName/>
From
<DbColumnName xsi:nil="true"/>
to
<DbColumnName/>
