When installling TIBCO BusinessConnect EDI Protocol HIPAA Edition powered by Instream 6.7.0, it fails with the below error.

DEPENDENCY CHECK FAILED:
The installation feature, EDI HIPAA Runtime, has failed an internal dependency check.
TIBCO Foresight Translator HealthCare Edition (3.6.0.0) or above is required and could not be located in the current TIBCO Home directory.

TIBCO BusinessConnect EDI Protocol powered by Instream 6.9.0 and Foresight Translator Standard Edition 3.8.0 are installed successfully.



 

The EDI HIPAA Protocol installer is unable to install BusinessConnect EDI Protocol HIPAA Edition version 6.7.0, when Foresight Translator Healthcare Edition 3.8.0 is installed. It fails the dependency check.

Foresight Translator Standard Edition 3.8.0 and Foresight Translator Healthcare Edition 3.8.0 have been merged, so only the Standard Edition is required for both. For more information on Healthcare edition, please refer to Foresight Translator Healthcare Edition 3.8.0 readme file, section "Product-Specific Information".

As both Translator Standard Edition and Healthcare Edition is same, you can comment out the Healthcare Edition dependency below in the HIPAA product_bcedihed_6.7.0_FeatureConfig.xml file. You can find this *FeatureConfig.xml file in the TIBCO BusinessConnect EDI Protocol HIPAA Edition powered by Instream 6.7.0 installer zip file.

Find this line:

<dependency description="TIBCO Foresight Translator HealthCare Edition" mustBeInstalled="false" type="feature" uid="Runtime_translator-hce" version="3.6.0" vpduid=""/>

and change it to look like this:

This will allow the EDI HIPAA package to install successfully when it is run again.
