TIBCO Cloud Spotfire offers three roles: Analyst, Business Author, and Consumer.
These three roles define whether the user can share, edit or view an analysis file. After an account owner signs up for a TIBCO Cloud Spotfire account, the account owner must invite members to their team and assign roles from the pool of available seats. After an account owner signs up for a TIBCO Cloud Spotfire account, the account owner must invite members to their team and assign roles from the pool of available seats. Following are the descriptions of the three roles:
- Analyst: An analyst can author and edit analysis files and share the files in the TIBCO Cloud Spotfire. The Analyst has access to both, the TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Business Author, a web client, and to downloading TIBCO Cloud Spotfire analyst. Only the analyst using TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Analyst can configure additional connections to data sources.
- Business Author: A user with this role can only author and edit analysis files. However, this user cannot configure connections to data sources. A business author only has access to TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Business Author, a web client.
- Consumer: The consumer has access to TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Business Author, the web client. A user with this role can view analysis created by analysts and business authors and interact with these analyses to a certain extent.
