Description

When analyzing issues that are reported to happen in a browser, there are no good logs to help you.
To get a view of what is going on a HAR-file of all the requests (and their timing) can be very helpful.
But the HAR file does not cover what is being rendered and the the visual experience which often is what the customer seen as the issue (loading of some things is slow, some parts of my Mashup is not showing up, etc).

Issue/Introduction

Description on how to record efficient information about things happening in the Web Browser, that is not captured in the Troubleshooting Bundle

Environment

Any environment that involves a Web Browser

Resolution

Besides just capturing the traffic and save it as a HAR file, capturing a Video of capturing the HAR will give more infomation.
This will add the visual of the browser page, as well as the possibility to match the requests in the HAR to whats rendered on screen (since you can go frame by frame and match the request pattern to the HAR file.

Any screen capture tool can be used, but it's much easier to handle when it is a video file that you can go frame by fram, than to use an animated gif (as the attached example).
The Game panel in Windows 10 (Win+G) is an easy tool to record a single window. It does not capture popups, menus etc, but does not require installations if it's not disabled.

Additional Information

Attached is a gif of the capture of traffic as HAR + Video of a mashup, which picks individual views of a file.
The Video itself and the HAR are too large to attach to this KB, but it is the concept that is important, not the actual capture of refreshing this page)
