Description
WMS Layer information is not displayed properly when zooming in or out in the map chart. Shapes can be cut off, labels duplicated or missing, or other display problems.
Issue/Introduction
WMS Layer information not displayed properly when zooming in or out in the map chart.
Environment
Product: TIBCO Spotfire (Desktop client / Analyst)
Version: All supported versions
OS: All supported Operating Systems
Resolution
Each time you zoom in or out, the number of "tiles" in the map is increased or decreased by a factor of four. (Each tile is subdivided into four smaller tiles.) With WMS Layers, your service could be expecting to create a certain number of tiles based on the zoom level, but if it conflicts with the settings in Spotfire, you can see truncated shapes or duplicated labels.
To resolve this, in the map chart go into Properties/Layers/WMS Layer/Settings, and under the Rendering tab, try unchecking the ‘Use tile based rendering” option to see how the map reacts. See the attached screen shot (Filename: Tile based rendering setting.jpg ).
