Description

If one user is the Owner and Author of the specific diagram and suppose this user left the organisation and account for this user is deleted by the Admin.

In this situation, if default diagram access is set to read and write then any other Author and/or Admin can replace this user with another Author.

But if default diagram access is set to access denied then no one can access this diagram and this warning message will be displayed if any Author or Admin try to access this diagram.

Issue/Introduction

After deleting the user account, other users might face the warning while accessing some maps "An approved master version of this map has not yet been created and you are not permitted to access the draft version, therefore it is not possible for you to open this map at this time."

Resolution

To resolve this warning we can replace deleted user using the below steps-

Log in to the Author client as administrator
Go to Tools-> Users-> User Accounts
From the Tools option, select User Search and Replace Wizard
Click on Next and Select deleted user in the Find option
Select new user(User you want to replace with)
Select the fields where you want to replace the user and click Next
