Issue/Introduction

Web Player is unable to open a file on a shared drive with DNS CNAME alias when Spotfire is configured for Kerberos authentication. However, when using UNC path it works.

Environment

Spotfire configured with Kerberos authentication

Resolution

When using file server and when an application or user uses the actual storage name (the NetBIOS name or the FQDN) for files or other resources on the server access is successful.
