Description

After the login session used by Spotfire analyst has timed out a a new login procedure will be triggered in order to renew the server session. Spotfire Analyst client will then open a web browser to login the user again. Often the authentication procedure is handled automatically hence the text "Authentication successful" will appear in a browser window.

Often the authentication procedure is handled automatically hence the text "Authentication successful" will appear in a browser window.

Environment

Spotfire server is configured to use web based authentication with OpenId Connect

Resolution

If you wish not to see new browser windows so often you can increase the server configuration 'absolute-session-timeout' to a higher value. The default value is 1440 minutes which is 24 hours. See the Reference section for links to documentation.
